Research

My research is driven by a keen interest in human cognition, with a central focus on assessing crucial latent traits for learning and assessment –– such as intelligence, attitudes, and emotions. This curiosity motivates me to delve into innovative methodologies and techniques, with the aim of investigating the intricate complexities of human cognition. Within this framework, my projects span a diverse array of disciplines, including psychometrics, digital assessments, natural language processing, data science, and learning analytics. Through this interdisciplinary lens, I seek to not only expand our understanding of cognitive processes but also to push the boundaries of traditional statistical methodologies.
